With a single log in Knowledge streamlines a plethora of publishing workflows, including text mining and summarisation and digital copy flow, replacing current publishing sub-systems such as wire service and picture management, page planning and digital archive.
Full functionality is available via internal networks and using the Internet through standard Internet browsers. With appropriate rights, a user can write and edit copy, create pages, copy fit stories onto pages simultaneously, publish to company websites, tablet and smartphone, crop and colour correct pictures, plan and track publication pages, intelligently search and browse the electronic archive – in fact virtually every function a modern publishing company carries out.
Knowledge uses its integrated data analytics and summarisation engine to help make decisions on the application of meta-data and workflow routing automatically, removing the need for time-consuming manual tagging. The engine works across live content and archive and can use dictionaries to identify connections between subjects – for example, for ease of searching for relevant content and automatically suggest a particular edition or category to which a story relates.
Knowledge expands the concept of a ‘story’ to include any media that might be published, from text through pictures to even the contacts involved in creating the story – whether that’s to print, web, smartphone or tablet.
Social Media Engagement
Knowledge has the ability to analyse content from social media and other digital sources – including web comments – enhancing the content creation process. Knowledge processes data from social media feeds using its integrated data analytics engine, and uses that analysis to drive content, monitor trends and competitors, get a lead on breaking news and understand readers’ opinions. Armed with this information, Knowledge allows you to interact and engage with your readers in real time, all in an intelligent, automated workflow.
