PCS shortlisted for the
Best of VMWorld Europe User Awards

PCS and our sister company Midlands News Association (MNA) have been shortlisted for
the Best of VMWorld Europe User Awards.  The PCS/MNA IT infrastructure migration project
was selected by an independent panel of judges in the Best Virtualisation and
Cloud Infrastructure Project category.

To reach the shortlist of the Best Publishing Platform judges were looking for a solution that helps publishers improve their business through better advertising, content delivery, measurement, or content distribution and discovery.  In partnership with Shropshire Star, PCS has demonstrated how browser based Knowledge facilitates greater efficiencies, a streamlined workflow and improved productivity.
Hosted by Computer Weekly and SearchServerVirtualisation.com, the Best of VM World Europe User Awards shine a light on the technological prowess demonstrated by organisations across the continent that have made virtualisation, cloud and DevOps the cornerstone of their IT strategies.  The independent panel of judges were inundated with entries from a wide range of industries spanning construction, education, financial services, logistics and publishing.

When MNA identified a need to upgrade its entire IT infrastructure,  PCS, introduced a virtual server workflow with huge savings on electricity and cooling.

We had about 8 racks of extensive equipment that has now been reduced to one box.  We really ripped up the rule book with this project and we have an IT system that is faster, bigger and cheaper.
